Comments: 2012 will be the 5th year of this tournament. This has been the toughest tournament over the past 2 years of the opening weekend in Georgia. This past year saw Gilmer outdistance Woodland - Cartersville for the title with North Forsyth close behind. We have many teams committed to return and usually have an influx of teams wanting in with no spots open. We plan to keep this at 12 teams with JV staying at 9 to 12 teams. This year`s teams included: Allatoona, North Forsyth, Harrison, Parkview, McEachern, Gilmer, Woodland-Cartersville, Paulding County, Etowah, Morgan County, Lassiter, Creekview, Woodstock, Pickens, Parkview Varsity Format: Friday - Pools of 3; Saturday - Brackets based on pool finish. Every team will wrestle a minimum of 5 matches over the 2 days. Most varsity teams will get more since we wrestle out and bracket to give the most matches possible.

Comments: I am looking for 10 to 15 Teams. The first day of the tournament we will wrestle 3 rounds of pool wrestling. Seeding for Saturday will be based on Fridays results. We will run an 12 man double elimination bracket on Saturday. Seeding in the bracket will be based on points from the pool rounds. All wrestlers in the tournament will have at least 4 matches. There will be metals for the top 3 at each weight class. Excellent hospitality room with a well run tournament that will end by 4pm on Saturday

Comments: This is an individual Pool Play tournament where we place all kids and nobody gets eliminated. Every kid will get between 5 - 8 matches for the weekend. You can see our tournament where we ran it this year and the year before on www.trackwrestling.com (Panther Classic in Pelham, AL in December the last 2 years). It is a great tournament for mat time and all level of kids from state champs to JV and by the end of the day they are all paired up with guys of the same ability. Email us and let us know if you want in we will cap the tournament at 16 man brackets!

Comments: This will be a 16 team traditional tournament. We guarantee a well run tournament that will allow teams to get home early on Friday (should finish by 9-9:30pm) and a 9am start on Saturday. We will take the first 16 teams to commit. We will attempt to bring in some out of state teams and as many top level Georgia teams as possible. This will be the first year for this tournament, but we have organized several area tournaments and have a booster club that does a great job of taking care of the coaches. We promise this to be one of the smoothest tournaments you have attended. We will run a 1 mat final and will make this a great event for your team. Contact Joe Lanier early to commit.
