Comments: I am looking for 10 to 15 Teams. The first day of the tournament we will wrestle 3 rounds of pool wrestling. Seeding for Saturday will be based on Fridays results. We will run an 8 man double elimination bracket on Saturday. Seeding in the bracket will be based on points from the pool rounds. All wrestlers in the tournament will have at least 4 matches. There will be metals for the top 3 at each weight class. Excellent hospitality room with a well run tournament.

We will have hospitality from Ted`s Montana Grille on Saturday and a full hospitality room on friday night. in Gainesville, Ga. Teams Comitted so far: Gilmer Cnty., Lumpkin Cnty., Chestatee, Dunwoody, North Hall, Stephens Cnty., Time: start wrestling around 10:15 on six mats. We finished by 4:30 in 2010 with six mats and 15 teams. METHOD: a JV Round-Robin. At 8:00am we weigh them and at 9:05am we line them up by weight and then separate those on the same team and make a pool of six wrestlers. Each Wrestler is marked with a letter and pool number on his hand. Each pool will be assigned a mat. Wrestlers will wrestle everyone in their pool. The best record will be the winner and the champion picks up his medal after the scorers table has finished with the bout sheet and the pool finishes wrestling. Matches will be 2-1-1. We had 40 pools in 2010. WHO: Wrestlers who should come are those who are truly your JV Wrestlers or are the only kid in a weight class and must wrestle at Varsity. JV can only be 9th – 11th graders (no Seniors or Middle Schoolers).

Coaches, We are now accepting entries for our annual Christmas tournament. The format guarantees each wrestler 4 matches, but up to 8. On Friday wrestlers will wrestle 3 round robin matches. Each round robin will be separated by exceptional records for the current year, returning area/sectional champs, and/or returning state placement. Results from Friday`s matches will determine seeds for Saturday`s single elimination tournament up until the semi finals. Semi losers will wrestle for 3rd and 4th. Coaches, I`m looking to host 2 schools for a Tri Meet some time in the week of January 1-9-2012 - 1-13-2012 with a 6pm ET start time. I`m also looking to add one more team to our January 19th, 2012 dual to make it a Tri also with a 6pm start time. Coaches, We are now accepting entries for our annual North Metro Jan 20-21, 2012. The format guarantees each wrestler 4 matches, but up to 8. On Friday wrestlers will wrestle 3 round robin matches. Each round robin will be separated by exceptional records for the current year, returning area/sectional champs, and/or returning state placement. Results from Friday`s matches will determine seeds for Saturday`s single elimination tournament up until the semi finals. Semi losers will wrestle for 3rd and 4th. Each match Friday will earn your wrestler bonus points. Pin = 6pts, Tech fall = 5pts, Major = 4pts, Minor = 3pts. Points earned will determine seeds for Saturdays bracket. The wrestler with the most points is first seed, and so on. We will break ties for seeds with criteria: Returning State Placement, Returning Area/Sectional Champ, and/or current Record. We will place top 4 individuals, top 3 teams, and present and MOW award.
